This is all highly illogical. I have a family member at Patterson. He and his wife just completed thier degrees from a correspondence school without repercussions. I'm pretty sure they did that in case the hammer of god (layoff) hits them.

No school for you: confirmation of CO outline on education
by raindog ini just spoke with my dad after he returned from an elders meeting.
the co did say that elders would have to step down from their positions if they supported their child getting an education.
the reasoning behind this is that an elder is encouraging their children to attend college, they would not be able to counsel the rank and file on the issue.

2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.
was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

1. CO's are going for sure. Responsible elders will be assigned a congregation to serve a Friday to Sunday.
I think this would be good. The fewer institutionalized JWs there are is all the better. Too many out-of-touch COs and DOs promote the rampant, trickle-down, extremism that drove me away. The local BOE pick up on this and often expect it from the congregation. Even Paul, obnoxious as he was, had to hold down a job. I think it'd be good for them to get back into the real world.

Not Feeling It
Nice work. I take it you do your own graphics. I used to do quite a lot in the graphic arts. I still dabble every now and again but my new PC doesn't have Photoshop or Illustrator. I used to have cracked versions but that is a bad plan when you work for a software company.
Sigh.

Looking for the official org chart . . .
by AuldSoul ina while back a poster put up a scan of the official org chart for the organization.
i found the one doug mason was working on, but the one i am remembering came from the watchtower itself and showed the hierarchy.
does anyone know which chart i am talking about and where i can find a good clean scan of it?

Yeah, this chart is glaringly incomplete.
It doesn't show anyone with Bethel in thier name in between Jesus and Elders. COs, DOs, Branchoids are above elders too. Anyone who does "more" than 10 hours is also above Ministerial Servants. Elders' wives are typically on par with Servants as well. Annointed should be below Servants unless they meet any of the rules above then bump them +1 from current position.
50% of the R&F are above the other 50% they are there to test unless you are female and then its minus eleventy for you. All R&F are somewhere below Servants and also balled-up used tissue paper.

I was in ASL and we could only witness to the deaf... we would spend all day searching for deaf people (mostly a waste of time) but were not supposed to witness to non-deaf...
VERY interesting. Wife and I have old friends who are very active in ASL territory. I should ask about this. They love to brag about how loving the brothers and sisters in ASL are. Actually they love to brag about anything.
Geez, why are the still my friends? Oh yeah, they are old friends. Meh.
